SCOPE OF SERVICES
Q-Care is a handicap accessible residential group home that accommodates the wide range of choices individuals and their families make about how to live in the Group Home. Q-Care will make every effort to provide services to an individual according to the individual’s choices as identified in the Individual Plan (IP)
Q-Care was created for the sole purpose of providing a residential group home to developmentally disabled adults in Maryland including other areas of the Washington metropolitan area. As a Group Home provider, Q-Care will provide services for adults with disabilities that require from low to high level of care in observation, assistance with activities of daily living, nutritional supervision, and medication administration.
Q-Care provides a residential group home where personalized care of the Individual is required. In addition to providing room and board for Individuals, Q-Care provides these services:
  • Ensure that its Individuals have access to necessary health services and intervention
  • Ensure and provide Individuals with substantial support with activities of daily living
  • Assist Individuals with taking their medication or administering medication and monitor the effects of medication on the Individuals
  • Provide reminders or physical assistance to Individuals who can self-administer medications
  • Ensure on-going assistance for Individuals in accessing social and recreational services
  • Maintain confidential records of each Resident of Q-Care
  • Encourage the participation of Volunteers
  • Provide private or semi-private room which includes a bed, bedside table and lamp, chest drawers, bath linens and bed linens
  • Provide meals which include three balanced meals a day and additional snacks
  • Provide personal care services which include assistance with eating, personal hygiene, transferring, toileting and dressing
  • Maintains confidential records of each individual of Q-Care

Individuals served by Q-Care will have the following types of disabilities:

  • Medical Retardation
  • Brain Injury
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Autism
  • Epilepsy
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Other Physical Disabilities
