Q-Care Inc. has core values that help us maintain high standards. Whenever in doubt about a situation, Q-Care staff should ask if a decision or action is consistent with the following values:

· Integrity: Never speaks disparagingly about our Individuals or other staff, creates an environment of trust and respect, keeps confidences and is honest and always acts with high integrity.

· Ethical: Ethical in all our practices to provide quality services to all our Individuals in accordance with all applicable state laws and regulations
Q-Care Inc. operates on the principle that it is individuals with developmental disabilities and their families who should control their own destiny. Individuals direct their outcomes, goals, and support they receive. The individuals determine who assists to provide these services, and decide how the services are to be delivered. Q-Care believes that each person’s values, dignity, and rights must be respected to achieve life satisfaction.
All people require opportunities that provide autonomy and independence; individuality; love and acceptance; stability and continuity; growth and learning; community status; and protection of legal and human rights. We at Q-Care Inc. encourage and assist each individual to be actively included, integrated, and involved in all aspects of the planning and delivery process.
The involvement of family and friends and community participation is also key to achieving quality of life. Q-Care has designed its services to act on these principles.
TARGET POPULATION
Q-Care’s target population is developmentally disabled adults needing low to high level of care tailored to their individual needs.
Q-Care has the ability and flexibility to work with individuals in new and innovative ways to develop services they desire in the community. We are committed to the belief that all people, regardless of their ability have the same basic human needs. People with developmental disabilities are first and foremost, people with ability. Without special assistance, some people with developmental disabilities cannot take advantage of the freedom of opportunities of this society. They are, however, more like the rest of the population than they are different from it.
